Oh right, technically she wasn’t a real princess. Except this is set in a universe with talking frogs, voodoo priests, & no royalty outside of the Prince. Who gets turned back into a man after she becomes a Princess by marriage. Not an unusual plot device & in fact it was used in Ever After & people loved it when Drew Barrymore did it. Hmm, so the real issue here is what? Oh right. Tiana’s black. Of course.
