Well of course she was a gold digger, what with her dreams of starting a successful business to run…wait, I thought gold diggers didn’t work? Oh..okay. Wait, wasn’t the prince the poor one seeking to marry for money in this one? Yes, yes he was…oh. Okay. So, the Prince was the actual gold digger & Tiana lied about what exactly? Oh right, technically she wasn’t a real princess. Except this is set in a universe with talking frogs, voodoo priests, & no royalty outside of the Prince. Who gets turned back into a man after she becomes a Princess by marriage. Not an unusual plot device & in fact it was used in Ever After & people loved it when Drew Barrymore did it. Hmm, so the real issue here is what? Oh right. Tiana’s black. Of course.
